A commemorative celebration of the anniversary of Guimaras as a province and to showcase the premier product of the province (mango) and the various local attractions.
Officially slated on April 20 to 27, the Manggahan sa Guimaras Festival started in May 22, 1993 to commemorate the first anniversary of Guimaras as a full-pledged province and to promote the island-province’s distinction as a producer of top quality mangoes considered the best tasting in the world.
One of the festival highlights this year is the Mango All You Can Eat, an island bike race, and the Mutya ng Guimaras Beauty Pageant.
The island-province’s five towns, namely Jordan, Buenavista, San Lorenzo, Nueva Valencia and Sibunag will be showcasing their diverse cultures to foreign and local tourists.
More festival updates to be posted soon.
